Agnieszka Likos is a faculty member at Elgin Community College and Solo Classic Music School in Buffalo Grove. Agnieszka is currently a section violinist in the Oistrakh Symphony Orchestra of Chicago, Northbrook Symphony Orchestra and in the Chicago Folks Operetta. She also performs in various chamber music ensembles.
Over the past few years Agnieszka has performed in masterclasses in France, Italy and the United States, led by Gordan Nikolic, Itamar Golan, Fabio Paggioro, as well as the Guarneri Quartet, Pacifica Quartet, Hugo Wolf Quartet, Arianna Quartet, Parker Quartet and Shanghai Quartet.
Agnieszka completed her Masters of Music in Violin Performance at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where she studied under Stefan Hersh. She received a Bachelors of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying under Sibbi Bernhardsson, and was awarded the full-tuition Smith Scholarship for her artistic work and academic achievements. In high school, she studied with Marko Dreher at the Music Institute of Chicago and performed in the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Music Program. Agnieszka started violin studies in Poland under the direction of Dorota Pelczar at Ignacy Jan Paderewski School of Music in Krosno, and continued with Iwona Wojciechowska at Henryk Wieniawski School of Music in Łódź.
