Polonijna Orkiestra Chicago, under the direction of Konrad Pawelek, is a community orchestra dedicated to celebrating Polish music and culture in the Chicago area. The ensemble performs classical, folk, and patriotic repertoire at concerts, parades, and cultural events, bringing together young musicians and the Polish-American community through the joy of music. Konrad Pawelek is the Artistic Director and Conductor of Polonijna Orkiestra Chicago. He is an active Chicago-based educator, conductor, and performer, teaching students from early childhood through adulthood. A strong proponent of the Orff Schulwerk approach, Konrad integrates movement, improvisation, and creative exploration into orchestra programs and frequently leads lectures and workshops for teachers and students. Dedicated to preserving Polish musical heritage, he collaborates with artists and instrument makers to showcase traditional folk instruments, connecting young musicians with their cultural roots while making music accessible and inspiring to new generations
