Katarzyna Wyporska-Wawrzczak is a renowned rhythmicist, choreographer, and dance educator. Her artistic journey began in 1996 with her graduation from the State Music School of I. J. Paderewski in Słupsk. In 2001, she completed her studies at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk.
Since 2001, she has been an educator at the Pomeranian Academy's Department of Music, where she founded a dynamic dance group and also taught at the State School of Music in Słupsk. In 2024, she became a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, specializing in folk dance.
Katarzyna's dedication to the arts earned her the Medal of the National Education Commission in 2016, and the second-degree award from the Director of the Center for Artistic Education. She has organized and led numerous workshops, such as the "Interschool Rhythmic Workshops" in Słupsk and teacher training courses at the Teacher Training Center.
Internationally, her expertise has reached stages such as Giju Gakuen School in Tokyo, Japan (2017), and the Scientific Conference at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA (2024). Her choreographic works include "Dysonans" based on Witkacy at the Rondo Theater in Słupsk (2006), "Jealousy for Three Faxes" at the Theater in Słupsk (2007), and jazz renditions of "The Nutcracker" (2019).
Since 2022, Katarzyna has collaborated with Łukasz Jankowski on projects like "Jazzowo na ludowo" and "All That Jazz," featuring prominent Polish singers like Krystyna Stańsko and Grażyna Auguścik. Their international workshops and concerts, including "Music, Rhythm, and Dance" in 2024 with Dr. Michael Schnack from Vienna, continue to inspire.
