Ana Everling is a singer and visual artist from the Republic of Moldova, who creates vocal music inspired from Romanian folklore, classical music, as well as improvised music. Possessing a brilliant and hypnotic voice, Ana brings traditional Eastern European music and storytelling into the contemporary idiom, delivering complex performances that address universal themes.   In 2023, Ana was honored by the president of Moldova the title Artist Emerit, for prodigious activity in culture and high professional mastery and substantial contribution to preserving and developing the spiritual values of Moldovan culture and promoting Moldova's image abroad.   Ana comes from a family of actors. She has been exposed to theater, music production and performance since early childhood. Throughout school years she studied piano, voice, choral music and music theory at the Iulia Hasdeu Lyceum in Chisinau, Moldova. Attending the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts later, Ana studied jazz performance, and participated in national folk music festivals and competitions.   In 2010, Ana moved to the US, and after a few years in Chicago, began to establish herself alongside many of the great working musicians in the city.
